Alpha 3 Manufacturing Presents Fundraising Donations to Local Hospice

Alpha 3 Manufacturing is pleased to present Lindsey Lodge Hospice with a generous donation following fundraising activities during 2016.

Each year, the Alpha 3 Manufacturing team take part in fundraising events to support nominated local charity, Lindsey Lodge Hospice. Last year, employees undertook the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge and held a Christmas Jumper Day, raising a total of £725.00.


Emma Buckley, HR Officer at Alpha 3 Manufacturing and organsier of the Three Peaks Challenge, commented; “The Three Peaks Challenge was tough but everyone involved worked extremely hard. We were all determined to raise as much as possible for a fantastic charity that relies on donations to offer vital support to those in need within the local community.

“Once weather conditions improved later in the day, we were left with incredible views which gave us further encouragement to complete the route and enjoy the day.”

The 24-mile long route included the peaks of Pen-y-ghent,Whernside and Ingleborough, which the group completed in a respectable 12 and a half hours, raising £475.00.


Whilst wrapping Secret Santa gifts during December, Alpha 3 Manufacturing employees held a fun Christmas Jumper Day, asking those that arrived in festive wear to make a small donation. This event raised an additional £250.00 for Lindsey Lodge Hospice.    


Alpha 3 Manufacturing is thrilled to give something back to the community. Lindsey Lodge Hospice offers 24-hour care for patients with life-limiting conditions and the fantastic staff offer the finest care they can,catering to each individual´s requirements to support them in their time of need.  


Andrew Hirst, corporate fundraising and events co-ordinator at Lindsey Lodge Hospice, said: “We truly appreciate and value the hard work of other´s that in turn benefits the care of local people and their families living with a serious life-limiting illness that varies from cancer, motorneurone disease, heart failure and multiple sclerosis.

“The fantastic amount raised will make a huge difference enabling three patients to receive day care which includes specialist symptom management, emotional, psychological and spiritual support as well as therapeutic crafts and pamper sessions.”
